Tall timbers from an existing warehouse structure that once stood on the site in the place of the current parking lot, evoked the presence of the former building, and framed the urban waterfront views beyond. The same timbers were used as site details throughout the Ketchikan Narrows, and site, as framing for the gatehouses, benches, and wheel stops creating a unified presence throughout the site.
