NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the BELLINGHAM CITY COUNCIL will hold a public hearing on FEBRUARY 28, 2005 AT 7:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as possible, in the CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CITY HALL, 210 Lottie Street , Bellingham , Washington , for the purpose of the following:

CONSIDERATION OF A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RESULTS OF THE WATERFRONT FUTURES GROUP'S 2003-2004 PLANNING PROCESS - THE WATERFRONT VISION AND FRAMEWORK PLAN AND THE WATERFRONT ACTION PLAN. IF APPROVED, STAFF WOULD USE THESE PLANS IN THE PREPARATION OF OTHER PLANNING DOCUMENTS, SUCH AS THE CITY-WIDE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, THE DOWNTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD PLAN AND ZONING REGULATIONS. APPROVAL OF THE WFG'S PLANS IS ALSO THE FIRST STEP IN THE PROCESS TO CREATE A MASTER REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR (FORMER) GEORGIA PACIFIC PROPERTY ON BELLINGHAM 'S CENTRAL WATERFRONT.

Anyone wishing to comment on this topic is invited to attend; or if unable to attend, to present your comments in writing to the Council Office, 210 Lottie Street , prior to February 23 rd, and they will be included in the Council packet.

For our citizens with special needs, the City Council Chambers are fully accessible. Elevator access to the second floor is available at City Hall's west entrance.
