MASS TIMBER CEREMONIAL HALL

Winner of an invited competition for a sixth-generation Funerary Services company,  this new nondenominational Ceremonial Hall is a mass timber addition on top of the existing funeral building.

The new hall is designed to accommodate the diverse cultural needs of families and loved ones of the deceased. Multiple assembly spaces—holding from 10-300—host mourners of all faiths and allow fires, music, and all-night services, all while providing complete privacy between groups. The hall also fulfills the complex and sensitive needs of administrative space, cremation preparation, and mortuary storage, creating a highly functional and culturally vibrant space for dignified end-of-life services.
